Grounded Notes is a twice-weekly letter for people who are learning to trust their body again. Written by Sinead Kelly — nervous system practitioner and creator of The GROUND Method™.
One Practice for When You've Been Giving Too Much
For the weekend.
Hand on the centre of your chest. The sternum, not the heart.
Three slow breaths. Longer exhale than inhale.
Ask, quietly: what do I actually need right now?
Notice the first answer that comes. Don't analyse it. Don't decide if it's reasonable. Don't immediately think about who else needs something first.
Just notice.
The receiving block runs quietly in a lot of people who give a lot. The moment goodness arrives, the system routes it outward. Rest, money, care, a good feeling — all of it channelled somewhere else before it gets to land.
This practice isn't about getting the answer right. It's about letting yourself be the one who asks.
That's enough.
X, Sinead
